Terms

Last updated 10 September 2026 · Otto Works LLC, a Colorado limited liability company

Plain terms for a simple arrangement. You pay a one-time onboarding fee and a flat monthly rate, Otto does the jobs you hand him, and you can stop whenever you like. The detail is below.

The agreement

These terms cover your use of ottoworks.net and the Otto service, provided by Otto Works LLC. Hiring Otto or using this site means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you have the authority to do that.

What Otto does

Otto is an AI employee, supervised by people. Depending on the plan you pick, he handles inbox and follow-ups, invoices and books, and leads and scheduling, working inside the accounts and tools you already own.

Two things worth being clear about. First, Otto drafts, sorts, chases, and books; you decide anything that needs judgment. He flags what he is unsure of instead of guessing. Second, Otto is a service, not software you license. There is nothing to install and nothing to own.

What we need from you

You remain responsible for what leaves your business. Otto acts on your instructions, in your accounts, under your name.

Fees

Onboarding
A one-time fee, charged before work begins. It covers discovery, setting Otto up inside your tools, and training him on your voice and your process. It is non-refundable once onboarding work has started.
Monthly rate
A flat fee, charged monthly in advance from the day Otto starts. The rate for each plan is listed on the pricing section of our site. No hourly billing and no usage surprises.
Taxes
Fees are in US dollars and exclude any sales or similar taxes, which are added where they apply.
Third-party costs
Subscriptions to your own tools stay yours. We will tell you before anything is needed that costs you money separately.

If a payment fails we will tell you and give you a reasonable chance to fix it before pausing the service.

Changing plans and stopping

Move up a plan whenever you like; the new rate starts that month and any difference in onboarding is charged once. Move down or cancel with notice before your next billing date and it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.

There is no lock-in period and no exit fee. We do not refund part-months, and the onboarding fee does not come back. On the way out we hand over your logs and anything Otto produced, and you revoke his access from your own accounts.

We can end an engagement too, with reasonable notice, or immediately if the service is being used for something unlawful, if you ask Otto to do something that would breach another company's terms, or if fees go unpaid after we have chased them.

What Otto will not do

Otto is not for anything unlawful, for sending unsolicited bulk email, for impersonating other people or businesses, for scraping or handling data you have no right to, or for work that needs a licensed professional such as legal, medical, or accounting advice. He keeps books; he is not your accountant.

Who owns what

Your data, your accounts, and the work Otto produces for you are yours. Our brand, our site, our prompts, our tooling, and the systems behind Otto are ours, and hiring him does not transfer any of that to you.

We will not name you as a client or use your logo without asking you first.

Confidentiality

What we learn about your business stays between us. That obligation outlasts the engagement. It does not cover anything already public or anything we are legally required to disclose, and if we are ever compelled to disclose something about you we will tell you unless the law forbids it.

What we do and do not promise

We promise to run the service with reasonable skill and care, to supervise Otto rather than abandon him, and to have a human answer you within one working day, or the same day on the Night Shift plan.

We do not promise particular business results. Otto will save you hours; how many depends on your business, and nobody can honestly guarantee a number in advance. AI systems make mistakes, which is why every action is logged and reversible and why a person checks his work. The service is otherwise provided as it is, without further warranties.

Liability

Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost data, beyond what the law does not let us exclude. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for willful misconduct, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

The boring but necessary parts

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, and disputes belong to the state or federal courts sitting in Denver, Colorado. Before anyone files anything, both sides agree to spend thirty days actually trying to sort it out, starting with an email to support@ottoworks.net.

If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stands. Neither side is in breach for delays caused by things genuinely outside its control. You cannot transfer this agreement without our consent; we can transfer it if the business changes hands. Together with our privacy notice, this is the whole agreement between us on this subject.

If we change these terms, the date at the top changes and we email current clients about anything significant at least thirty days before it takes effect.
